We've designed this policy to be fair, transparent, and rooted in trust. We want you to shop with confidence, knowing we're here to support you every step of the way.

Returns & Exchanges (India Only)

Eligibility

You can request a return or exchange if:

  • The product is damaged, defective, or incorrect
  • The item is unused, unwashed, and in original condition with all tags intact
  • You have the original packaging and invoice
  • You contact us within 7 days of delivery

Important Timelines

  • Damage Claims: Must be reported within 48 hours of delivery
  • Return Window: 7 days from delivery date
  • Proof Required: Photos + unboxing video (mandatory for damage claims)

📹 Unboxing Video is Mandatory: To process damage or defect claims, you must provide a clear unboxing video showing the package opening and the issue. This helps us serve you better and improve our quality.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Customized or personalized products
  • Items marked as "Final Sale" or purchased during clearance
  • Products that have been worn, washed, altered, or damaged by the customer
  • Innerwear, intimate apparel, or hygiene-sensitive items
  • Products without original tags or packaging

Exchange Policy

We offer one-time exchanges for size or color variations (subject to availability).

  • Exchange fee: ₹100 (covers reverse pickup and reshipping)
  • Only one exchange per order is allowed
  • Exchanges are subject to stock availability
  • If the desired item is unavailable, we'll offer a store credit or refund

Refund Policy

We generally do not offer refunds unless:

  • The product received is damaged or defective
  • You received the wrong item
  • The item is significantly different from what was described

Approved refunds will be processed within 7-10 business days to your original payment method.

Note: Refund amount will exclude shipping charges unless the error was from our side.

Return Shipping

  • Damaged/Incorrect Items: We arrange free reverse pickup
  • Change of Mind: Customer bears return shipping costs
  • Exchanges: ₹100 fee covers both pickup and reshipping

International Orders

Due to customs regulations and high shipping costs, international orders are non-returnable and non-refundable.

However, if you receive a damaged or incorrect item, please contact us at support@deshvastram.com within 48 hours. We'll work with you to find a fair solution.

How to Request a Return or Exchange

  1. Email us at support@deshvastram.com within 7 days of delivery
  2. Include your order number, reason for return, and photos/video proof
  3. Our team will review and respond within 24-48 hours
  4. If approved, we'll arrange pickup or provide return instructions
  5. Once we receive and inspect the item, we'll process your exchange or refund

Important Notes

  • Color variations due to screen settings or photography are not valid return reasons
  • Minor handmade imperfections (slight thread variations, natural fabric texture) are part of the artisan craft and not defects
  • Please check your order carefully upon delivery and report issues immediately
  • We reserve the right to refuse returns that don't meet our policy criteria
